Rustic, Remote Cabin

Here is an affordable get-away where you can hunt, fish, or just BE in the woods of Southeast Alaska.

Sitting on just over  a half acre, this well insulated cabin is about 12 x 20 feet. There is a small kitchen area two bunks and a table. There is a wood stove to keep you cozy, and the outhouse isn’t far.

For water, there is rain catch from the roof. There is a coleman stove to cook on, and a propane light.

AND, it is wired for electricity and it is plumbed. The electric and phone are right on the front of the property. It would be easy to hook up those conveniences. (Right behind the property, on state land, is a small stream that could accessed for water.)

This cabin is located in Whale Pass, Alaska. It is on the road, yet nearly hidden in the trees. Also found among these trees are lots of deer and black bears.

There is a hatchery release site for silver salmon in Whale Pass (1.5 million released each year), making the bay one of the best silver salmon fishing areas in Southeast Alaska.

Snoose Creek, a salmon stream, is across the road, and the salt water is about 200 yards away (when the tide is in!)  The nearby grass flats provide good goose and duck hunting.

Can you see the cabin in there?

Price? $69,000 $59,000 $39,000 (price reduced 6/4/12)
